The Groundbreaking of Uitm Melaka Baitul Awqaf Project

A project proposed by Rector of Uitm Melaka, Alor Gajah was realized on December 12, 2019 and the groundbreaking ceremony for the Baitul Awqaf Project was officiated by the Secretary of State Dato' Hasim Bin Hasan at the Uitm Melaka Branch at around eight a.m. The groundbreaking was held on a hill near the faculty of communication and media studies

In addition, a few lecturers and Uitm staff were attend at the groundbreaking ceremony including vice chancellor uitm Melaka, rector, Dr. Abd Halim Bin Mohd Noor  and deputy rector.                                                             

"The project involved two constructions, the Dataran Usahawan and Research Garden. In the planning of Dataran Usahawan would provide about six to eight booths that would be responsible by each faculty for student entrepreneurship activities. Meanwhile, the Research Garden is an area specially designed for students or lecturers to conduct research activities." said Dr. Amierul Azwan Bin Abdul Aziz, one of the lecturers involved in this ceremony.

To make this project going well and successfully, they are planning to open the waqaf collections to all the students, lecturers and staff of Uitm Melaka. According to Dr. Amierul Azwan, it takes six till 12 months to make this project done successfully because it depends on the financial budget.

Hopefully, this project will smoothly done because it will give a lot of benefits especially to the students and lecturers in developing the skills in learning process.
