ALOR GAJAH- The state secretary of Malacca,
YB Datuk Seri Hasim bin Hasan arranged a ground breaking ceremony
at the UiTM branch Malacca, Alor Gajah campus to officiate Baitul Awqaf,
witnessed by the chief minister of Malacca, YAB Tuan Hj.
Adly bin Zahari, rector of UiTM branch Malacca, Profesor
Dr. Abd Halim Bin Mohd Noor, deputy rector,
and supreme officer of the UiTM branch Melaka
on the 12 December 2019.
This special project was from a rector called "BAITUL WAQAF UiTM CAWANGAN MELAKA"
involving two buildings which are “Dataran Usahawanan”
and the Research Garden.
According to Dr Amirul Azwan bin Abdul Aziz, the
idea of the project was a long time ago from the rector but in 2019 the
project was new, and was begin 4 weeks ago, the project is in the 6 -12-month
plan to be financially ready as it is depends on the funds to make sure this Waqaf
project going well.
“Dataran Keusahawanan” in the planning will provide 6-8 booths that will be assigned by each faculty for student entrepreneurship activities while Research Garden is an area specially designed by students and lecturers to conduct research activities.
The
groundbreaking ceremony took place smoothly and fundraising was open to all,
including lecturers and students.
