'DATARAN USAHAWANAN' FOR STUDENTS ENTREPRENEURSHIP

ALOR GAJAH: The groundbreaking ceremony that was held in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Melaka Branch was officiated by the secretary of state government,  YB Dato' Seri Hashim bin Hassan on the 12th December 2019. 

The ceremony was supported by Chief Minister of Malacca, YAB Tuan Hj. Adli B Zahari and the rector of UiTM Melaka Branch, Professor Dr. Abd Halim B Mohd Noor. Moreover, this project is the rector’s idea also was designed for students entrepreneurship activities and this special project was called “Baitul Awqaf”. He also mentioned that there will be two buildings are on process using the waqaf collection and this groundbreaking ceremony’s building was called “Dataran Usahawanan”. 

 According to Dr Amirul Azwan B Abdul Aziz, the project was still new and was started four weeks ago. He added that it will take 6-12 months to complete the entire project and there would be around six to eight booths that will be empowered by each faculty of entrepreneurship’s students. 

This activity can be seen when YB Dato’ Seri Hashim digging the ground using a ‘Backhoe’ after he signed the inauguration of the ground breaking ceremony
