Having confidence is a key part of living a happy life. Confident can either debilitate or motivate. And, the choice is entirely yours. As much as we want to live a life free from fear, it never seems to really happen, does it?

Many psychology studies certify self-love and compassion are key for mental health and well-being, keeping away the depression and anxiety.

If people are confident it will bring them to a self-love. Without self-love they would feel weak, insecure, isolate themselves from the surrounding and at the end will bring harm to the self which mental and physically.

It is not always the easiest thing to build, and it is probably not something people can fix overnight. But there are some motivation to keep on working at it such as treating yourself kindly can have both physical and psychological health benefits, a new study says. So does self love improve health? Well it is an emphatic yes from me.

Self-love is not simply a state of feeling good. It is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support physical, psychological and spiritual growth in a person’s life.

According to Emily Dixon, 2019, the researchers from the University of Exeter and the University of Oxford looked at the impact of kind thoughts towards oneself and others on heart rate, and feelings of self-compassion and self-criticism.

Moreover, the study, published in the journal Clinical Psychological Science, concluded that self-compassion had a very real impact on the students. Those who were asked to focus on their bodily sensations, as well as those told to think kind thoughts towards others and themselves, had lower heart rates and a lower sweat response at the end of the experiment. Unsurprisingly, the participants who were encouraged to think critically about themselves had a faster heart rate and greater sweat response.

Besides, Dr. Anke Karl, lead researcher on the study, said, "Our study is helping us understand the mechanism of how being kind to yourself when things go wrong could be beneficial in psychological treatments. By switching off our threat response, we boost our immune systems and give ourselves the best chance of healing." The researchers will go on to conduct similar studies involving participants with depression, Karl said.

Ironically, however, self-care and compassion might actually be needed most by those who work too hard and who are constantly striving to improve on themselves and exceed the perfection.

Studies have shown that perfectionists are at a higher risk of several illnesses, both physical and mental, and that self-compassion might free us from its grip. Therefore, perfectionism and self-compassion are very related.

Without self-love or lack of confidence will totally deteriorate a person's health and wellness.

Self-love is dynamic which grows through actions that mature people. When people act in ways that expand self-love in them, they begin to accept much better the weaknesses as well as strengths.

Moreover, people have the compassion for themselves as human beings struggling to find personal meaning, and most importantly, people are more centered in the life purpose and values, and expect living fulfillment through their own efforts.

The first thing I have learnt from successful people is not to be afraid of confidence. You have to be calm and acknowledge that you are afraid of something. If you understand that confident is just want to warns and protects, it helps you manage your emotions better.

Importantly it will not prevent you from taking action, because confidence is not the enemy. Rather, it is a guide that supports you, as you handling the complexities of life to meet your goals.

I understand that the hardest thing for people to do is leaving their comfort zone.

But you have to let go the life you are familiar with and take the risk to live the life you dream of because if not you will learn nothing. Nothing grows in you.

So by hook or by crook, people really have to self-love, be confident and do not be afraid to step out of the comfort zone because that is the only way they are going to grow and life begins at the end of the comfort zone.
