As a student, it is almost a norm that we consume coffee to help us awake to study at night. According to E-imports (2019), more than 50% of Americans over the age of 18 consume coffee every day. That's more than 150 million drinkers a day. Every day, 30 million American adults drink specialty coffee drinks, including mocha, latte, espresso, mocha coffee, cappuccino, frozen/iced coffee beverages, etc.

Although it seems like coffee has more benefits to offer, we also should know the negative effects of overconsumption of coffee too to avoid unwanted health issues happening.

Firstly, consuming coffee can benefit us physically. Coffee will improve our ability to be physical. When consumed before the task it increases stamina during a physical exercise.

Coffee consumption can also benefit us mentally. This is because it helps improves our learning ability as it increases short-term memory. Coffee can also enhance reasoning and cognitive functions as well as speed up our reaction time.

However, as much as it gives us benefits, it also gives us negatives physical effects. For instance, overconsumption of coffee can affect our sleeping schedule. It causes restlessness as well as difficulty in sleeping.

Consuming coffee too much also gives bad impacts on women because it can affect pregnancy. For women with low fertility too much coffee reduces their chance of pregnancy.

Coffee is obviously beneficial both mentally and physically, though when consumed in large amounts, it has adverse effects.
