Groundbreaking Ceremony for Baitul Awqaf at UiTM Melaka 



ALOR GAJAH:  Dato' Seri Hashim bin Hassan, the secretary of state goverment came to UiTM Alor Gajah for officiating a groundbreaking program on the 12 December 2019.



The ceremony was supported by Chief Minister of Malacca, YAB Tuan Hj. Adli B Zahari and the rector of UiTM Melaka Branch, Professor Dr. Abd Halim B Mohd Noor. Moreover, this project is the rector’s idea also was designed for students entrepreneurship activities and this special project was called “Baitul Awqaf”. He also mentioned that there will be two buildings are on process using the waqaf collection and this groundbreaking ceremony’s building was called “Dataran Usahawanan”. 


The launch of the program began with him getting into the machinery to dig the ground as a sign of 'ground breaking'. 


According to Dr Amirul Azwan B Abdul Aziz, the project was still new and was started four weeks ago. He added that it will take six to 12 months to complete the entire project and there would be around six to eight booths that will be empowered by each faculty of entrepreneurship’s students. He added, the idea of ​​the project was a long time ago from the rector but in 2019 the project was new.





The ceremony runs smoothly without any problems. All the people gave the cooperation during the ceremony.  The donations are still ongoing until they receive a designated archer said Dr Amirul Azwan.
